History: Farmer boy in Indiana Social Worker in Cincinnati Dean of Students at a conservative Mennonite Bible College Administrative Pastor at a not-so-conservative Mennonite church (well, O.K., for those of you who are wondering -- theologically conservative.) Life is a fascinating trip when you hang out with God!
Hobbies: What ever causes me to take a deep breath and emotionally relax.
Favorite Verse: Any verse that speaks of God's unconditional love, majesty, rest, perseverence, sovereignty, redemption, encouragement and control.

	Tom Bender Director of Worship
Description of job: Oversees and leads the worship band

Favorite aspect of your job: Leading worship/playing in the band Sunday mornings as well as watching team members grow both musically and spiritually.
Family members: Wife Deedee and 7 children: Emilee, Leah, Christian, Madison, Olivia, Chloe & Caden.
History: During the summer of 1990, Tom and Deedee met as Christian camp counselors in western New York where later they were married. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at West Virginia University, Tom and Deedee settled into a small southern Pennsylvania town to begin raising a family. While attending Oakdale Mennonite Church, Tom and Deedee began to feel a call on there lives to minister to the youth of their community, and so began a journey of ministry that has included being youth leaders, small/home group leaders and elders, all the while Tom has been leading worship.
Hobbies: playing instruments and music of all kinds, writing music, coaching soccer and baseball, riding motocross with my son Christian, watching my girls ride horses, golfing, hunting and really anything fun with my family.
Favorite Verse:Ps 121 - I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from?  My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip, he who watches over you will not slumber;  indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you, the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

History: Born and raised in Virginia Accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at age 13 Attended Southeastern College* after High School where I met my hubby Will complete my B.S. in Human Services from Southeastern University* in December 2008 *both schools listed are the same institution Moved to Mechanicsburg in late 2004 from Plain City…after spending way too many years living in Florida

Favorite aspect of your job: Watching the sun rise on the way to church.

Family members:Karla, at home full-time. Zachary is 15 YO and started High School this year, likes baseball and soccer and playing bass guitar, Nicholas is 13 YO and in 7th grade at the Ohio Virtural Accademy, like soccer and hanging out on facebook.

History: attended Rosedale Bible Institute after High school for one year. Served in Red Lake Ontario with Northern Light Gospel Mission for one year including 4 months at North Spirit Lake. Graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a bachelors in Social work in 1986. Served with Mennonite Central Committee for 2 years in New Orleans from 1987 to 1989. Earned a Masters Degree in Social Work at Southern University at New Orleans in 1991. Transferred his LISW Social Work license to OH this year. Began work with Light the Way Christian Counseling Center as a Therapist. At-Home Dad for 15 years. Have a side business repairing computers and also do music including writing a couple worship songs.
