Meet Our Leaders!

Here at MCF, our leaders are regular people with diverse backgrounds and skills.

We strive to be accessible and relatable to all.  Read below to see how ordinary we are!

Senior Pastor

My name is Joey Brown. I have been attending MCF for all but five years of my life, it has been nothing short of amazing! I now have the honor of serving as Senior Pastor. I am a child of God, husband to my amazing wife Macy "the better half", coffee connoisseur, sports enthusiast and proud pet owner. I believe that the basics of the Christian walk are key: love God, love people and be obedient .  Email

Children's Director

My name is Lisa Ware and I have been a part of the MCF family for about 14 years spending most of those years as Director of Children's Ministries.  Inspiring, guiding and teaching the children at MCF is a great honor and privilege and a true gift from God.  My husband Gary and I have been married for 38 years.  We are blessed to have two wonderful sons, their sweethearts and five grandchildren.  When I'm not spending time with family, you can find me creating something or listening to my husband play his guitar.        lisa.ware@mcf-online.com

Finance Director

My name is Theresa Rabenstein. My husband Bob and I own Rabenstein Electric in West Liberty, I also drive school bus for WLS as well as serve as MCF's finance director. We have two grown/married children, Bill (Charissa) Rabenstein and Jessica (Kidron) Filbrun. I enjoy spending time with family, boating and motorcycling.

Tech & Media

My name is Bill Rabenstein, and I organize the sound booth. One of my goals in being in the sound department is to increase the range of what this church is capable of doing, whether it's inside the building, online or out in the community. In my free time, I hang out with my wife, work on computers and cars

Youth Leader

My name is Mark Snyder and I have the honor to serve as Youth leader at Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship! I was born and raised in Mechanicsburg. I still feel Mechanicsburg is home for me. I went to youth group here at MCF when I was in high school and it set me on a trajectory to love Jesus all the days of my life. I attended Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry after high school where I learned more about God and His heart toward us as His beloved sons and daughters. My ultimate goal in youth ministry is to lead students to love Jesus as they discover His love for them. In my free time I like to fish, read a book, play guitar, or hang with some good friends.

Administrative Assistant

My name is Mary Hope (Shelton) Snyder.  I grew up in Urbana and went to school in Tennessee where I spent most of my life.  I currently live in Mechanicsburg and married to Dave Snyder.  I enjoy spending time with my family, DIY projects, gardening and antiquing here in Champaign county.

Our family verse is Jeremiah 29:11...God has a plan, always!

Meet the Elders

Some churches are run by the Pastor, others by congregational vote. MCF is led by Elders, selected by the congregation. The Elders oversee all aspects of the church and appoint/hire staff to run the various ministries. Joey, as Senior Pastor, serves as primary vision castor and head elder.

  • Stu Jenkins

Age 52 ish. The lesser half of the Stu and Tamara team, having recently celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary with the added bonus that we've been together since high school. We have no kids of our own but we are blessed to have many who claim us as their family. We fully believe Father at His word that He sent His only begotten Son to us so that we can believe in and through Him, ensured to have a forever life with them. Tamara and I enjoy serving His Kingdom as members at MCF, at work, in our large family and most recently in several prisons in Ohio and one in Kansas. Introducing many to Jesus, encouraging believers in their walk and loving those who can't quite figure who God is.   When we find the time we enjoy riding our Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Some long trips and many short ice cream runs 50 miles from home. We also enjoy traveling together by car and planes and we plan to do more of that once retired, God willing. We are truly blessed by God, each other, family and friends. God is so good.

  • John Mcleod

I am John McLeod and have the honor of serving as an Elder. My family has been attending MCF for over eleven years and love living in the Mechanicsburg area. I am a man of God, husband to an amazing wife Cheryl; who I have had the honor of being married to for over twenty-one years. I am a father of three beautiful children that love God and continue to be a blessing in our lives. I believe the Bible is God’s direction giving us life, and Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide, lead, and support us to walk according to his will. MCF only speaks what is the truth and gives direction on how to grow closer to Jesus. Through the Love of Christ, we are dedicated to: Friendship, discipleship, leadership, marriage counseling, bible study support, prayer, small groups, and needs meet within your family. This is God’s calling on our local church. I enjoy and take it as a great appointment from the Lord to work with the MCF leadership team to build God’s kingdom.

  • Bob Rabenstein

My wife Theresa and I have been married over 30 years. We have 2 grown/married children and will soon be blessed with our first grandchild. I grew up attending a Mennonite church. In 2010, we started attending MCF and in 2011 we transferred our membership to MCF. My passion as elder is to help serve and lead the church to be true to God’s Word. In my spare time, I enjoy time with family, boating and riding my Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
