Meet Our Leaders!

Here at MCF, our leaders are regular people with diverse backgrounds and skills.

We strive to be accessible and relatable to all.  Read below to see how ordinary we are!

Senior Pastor

My name is Joey Brown. I have been attending MCF for all but five years of my life, it has been nothing short of amazing! I now have the honor of serving as Senior Pastor. I am a child of God, husband to my amazing wife Macy "the better half", coffee connoisseur, sports enthusiast and proud pet owner. I believe that the basics of the Christian walk are key: love God, love people and be obedient .  Email

Associate Pastor

My name is Mark Miller.  I have been married 33 years to Phyllis. We have three children. I serve as elder, office manager and associate Pastor. I'm passionate about experiencing Christ daily and living in the maturity of that experience. My hobbies are motorcycle riding, cutting wood and putting together 1000 piece puzzles. Email

Worship Leader

Praise the Lord! My name is Kenneth Kirker, and it is my great joy and profound honor to serve as the Worship Leader at Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship. In fact, there is no greater pleasure for me than playing music with my brothers and sisters in Christ, and hearing the uplifted voices of our congregation as we make a joyful noise unto the Great I Am. Outside of worship I enjoy watching sci fi/fantasy/ superhero movies with my beautiful wife Lindsey, playing music and dancing with my two youngest sons, Tristan and Darby, watching the Leicester City Foxes win in the English Premier League with my oldest son Elias, and reading. Finally, and most importantly, I want to share that Jesus Christ is the answer, regardless of the question.

Children's Director

My name is Lisa Ware and I have been a part of the MCF family for about 12 years spending most of those years as Director of Children's Ministries.  Inspiring, guiding and teaching the children at MCF is a great honor and privilege and a true gift from God.  My husband Gary and I have been married for over 36 years.  We are blessed to have two wonderful sons, their sweethearts and three grandchildren.  When I'm not spending time with family, you can find me creating something or listening to my husband play his guitar.

Youth Leader

Rahn is a funny, out-going guy who loves sports and education. You can usually find him pumping iron in the gym or with his face firmly planted in a book in the remotest corner of the library.

He likes to encourage young people to live purposefully and passionately, and hopes to inspire many leaders. He lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Nadine. They are expecting their first child in December. Email

Finance Director

My name is Theresa Rabenstein. My husband Bob and I own Rabenstein Electric in West Liberty, I also drive school bus for WLS as well as serve as MCF's finance director. We have two grown/married children, Bill (Charissa) Rabenstein and Jessica (Kidron) Filbrun. I enjoy spending time with family, boating and motorcycling.

Tech & Media

My name is Bill Rabenstein, and I organize the sound booth. One of my goals in being in the sound department is to increase the range ofwhat this church is capable of doing, whether it's inside the building, online or out in the community. In my free time, I hang out with my wife, work on computers and cars

Adult Education

Christa serves as the deacon overseeing Men's and Women's Ministries and Adult Education. She lives with her husband, Andrew, and their three daughters in Mechanicsburg where she enjoys homemaking, gardening, and interacting with the community. She enjoys using drama as a tool for ministry and also works part-time as adjunct faculty nearby at Rosedale Bible College as their drama director, which doubles as her "play-time.

Meet the Elders

Some churches are run by the Pastor, others by congregational vote. MCF is led by Elders, selected by the congregation. The Elders oversee all aspects of the church and appoint/hire staff to run the various ministries. Joey, as Senior Pastor, serves as primary vision castor and head elder.

  • Stu Jenkins

Age 52 ish. The lesser half of the Stu and Tamara team, having recently celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary with the added bonus that we've been together since high school. We have no kids of our own but we are blessed to have many who claim us as their family. We fully believe Father at His word that He sent His only begotten Son to us so that we can believe in and through Him, ensured to have a forever life with them. Tamara and I enjoy serving His Kingdom as members at MCF, at work, in our large family and most recently in several prisons in Ohio and one in Kansas. Introducing many to Jesus, encouraging believers in their walk and loving those who can't quite figure who God is.   When we find the time we enjoy riding our Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Some long trips and many short ice cream runs 50 miles from home. We also enjoy traveling together by car and planes and we plan to do more of that once retired, God willing. We are truly blessed by God, each other, family and friends. God is so good.
